SSC CGL 2016 Exam Dates Announced, Major changes in exam pattern and Admit Card : SSC CGL is undoubtedly most famous Exam among all the recruitment exams of Staff Selection Commission (SSC). If you applied for SSC CGL 2016 exam then this post is very important for you. SSC have done some major changes in the pattern of exam that you will to know. As you know that SSC exams are one of the toughest exam in India. because of the reason that this exam is highly competitive exam as every year more than 3 Lakh candidates apply for this exam. and there is also an another reason that SSC offers huge salaries. These changes done in the exam are detailed as below :

Exam Dates : As per the SSC notification the dates of SSC CGL Tier – 1 Exam are Decided and the exam is going to be held on 27-August-2016 to 11 September. Earlier the exam was decided to be held on 8th and 22nd May 2016 but the dates for the examination was postponed to August.

   The exam date of SSC CGL Tier-2 Exam are not decided yet. Tier-2 exam dates will be declared later on. There will be negative marking of 0.50 for a wrong answer.

Major Changes in Exam Pattern : The Exam pattern of all the three tier has been changed. Theses changes are explained below :

        1. Changes in Tier-1 : According to the new notification of SSC the number of question for Tier-1 exam are reduced from 200 to 100. And the timing for the exam is also reduced from 2 hours to 75 minutes only. Number of question in each section are changed from 50  to 25 question. The mode of exam will be online mode.

    2. Changes in Tier-2 : No changes are done in the Tier-2    Exam. However the mode of exam is changed to online mode.

         3. Changes in Tier-3 : As you know that SSC had canceled the interview to be taken after the 1st and 2nd Tier and they organized a 3rd Tier for the candidates. In the 3rd Tier there will be a descriptive paper (Hindi and English). Mode of this paper will be offline.

Final Merit/result : The final merit and result will be declared on the basis of the performance of the candidates in all the three Tier i.e, Tier-1, Tier-2 and Tier-3. The candidates will have to pass/qualify all the three Tier separately.

Admit Cards : The Admit card for the exam will be available from the 2nd week of August.
